Job Description

Indian Army invites applications for the position of Steno Grade II

Head Quarters Southern Command, Pune invites applications from eligible candidates for the following posts:-

1. Position: Steno Grade II

2. No of Post: 01

3. Pay Band: Level 4 of 7 th CPC (Rs 25500- 81100) + Allowance as per rule

4. Education Qualification:

(a) 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university

(b) Skill test norms – Dictation: 10 minutes@30wpm Transaction: 50 minutes (Eng) 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer.

The two epics of ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharata’ constitute the fundamental framework around which the edifice of the Indian Army is built. The massive epic war ‘Mahabharata’, fought at Kurukshetra in north-central India, has left indelible imprints on the Indian psyche. Fought relentlessly for eighteen days in quest of peace, the force level described in the Epic states 18 ‘Akshaunis’, seven with the ‘Pandavas’ and eleven with the ‘Kauravas’, amounting to nearly 400,000 assorted troops fighting on chariots, horses, elephants, and foot soldiers.
