Your Role and Responsibilities

• In the role of Storage Developer, this individual will be responsible for Designing and development of individual product features for IBM FlashSystem family of storage products, IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio & IBM cloud storage services.
• You will be owning and driving product functionality as SME and represent it in global product team. The individual will be responsible for Designing and development of individual product features for IBM FlashSystem family of storage products, IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio & IBM cloud storage service.
• You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through his technical skills and prior experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 6 - 14 years of industry experience in Linux Internals, Kernel and User mode Programming, scripting, Kernel Debuggers, development and build tools.
• Proven Storage domain knowledge and hands-on knowledge.
• Product development/usage experience on Linux/Windows operating systems for Linux kernel and user level programming and test.
• Experience with storage software stack implementation and debugging on Linux operating systems.
• Deep understanding of back end Storage controllers and good working knowledge of SCSI protocol
• Proven knowledge of S/W development process & tools for product development/debugging using C/C++, java , Python language.
• Knowledge of High availability, storage multi-pathing solutions, and Systems/Storage domains.
• Hands on debugging skills on FC/iSCSI/SAS analyzers and good knowledge on SCSI/FC/ISCSI/SAS protocols.
• Ability to crisply communicate with stake holders (clients and level 3 support teams) for resolving field issues.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/Google or similar Cloud Provider (IaaS) and Could reference architecture and Storage API for Cloud knowledge will be a value add.
• Ability to plan test execution details meticulously and identifying dependencies.
