Job Description
  • Receives raw materials, purchased/outsourced component, market products, proprietary products, consumables, inserts and tools, etc. 
  • Verifies quantities, prepares GRN, gets necessary QC* clearance  and stows the materials at designated locations.
  • Quality Plan defines which category of items and which department(QC, Production or Stores)  is required to inspect and clear
  • Issues materials to users against material requisitions
  • Materials stocked in stores room is physically issued, but large materials kept on shop floor it requires only a documentation in system. Certain common bulk raw materials may be issued (& consumed) in full as soon as they are received on shop floor.
  • Issues raw materials to shop for further dispatch against outsourcing Job Orders to vendors against PPC MRs
  • Receive and re-issue products being finished in daily production
  • Receive surplus materials back from shop floor on Material return Notes after getting its quality is verified and stows the materials at designated locations.
  • Verifies all stocks systematically by turns and passes reconciliation entries for differences after approval of the Directors.
  • Report stocks periodically (Quarterly)
  • Store keepers/Material recording clerks keep track of information in order to keep businesses and supply chains on schedule. They ensure proper scheduling, recordkeeping, and inventory control.  
  • Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
  • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
  • Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the work activities of PPC or in house machinist.
  • Determines items and quantities of stock to be purchased and maintained.
  • Controls the disbursement of supplies and material through directing the posting of inventory control cards or automated systems.
  • Inspects items as to quality and quantity against freight documents.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Resolves discrepancies in requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery reports by contacting vendors or requesters.
  • Stocks materials according to a prescribed inventory system.
  • Counts, weighs, and measures goods received or issued.
  • Directs the maintenance and operation of electric, or hand operated stores equipment.
  • Establishes standards and methods for storing supplies and materials.
  • Estimates cost and assigns account codes to items purchased.
  • Unloads materials from trucks by hand or with hand operated or motorized equipment.
  • Maintains catalogues of available stock items.
  • Prepares and files complaints on unsatisfactory shipments.
  • Selects, administers, and documents progressive and corrective disciplinary measures.
  • Plans and conducts in-service training programs for employees.
  • Attends meetings with vendors and suppliers.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, procedures, and equipment used in the receipt, storage, requisitioning, and disbursement of supplies and materials.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
  • Ability to instruct and supervise employees.
  • Ability to maintain work schedules and uphold work standards.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate program and organizational performance in order to assess efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to conduct training and informational sessions.
