The Testing Environment Management (TEM) Shared Service Center a new team providing Environment Management as a service to Application Development & Maintenance teams, including Testing teams, across CIB.
It’s activities range from demand management, to environment delivery, monitoring, and support, through to decommissioning.
The role of the Test Environment Analyst within the organisation is to understand the design of environments, and execute the activities necessary to the delivery of the environments.
He/She will be involved in understanding the processes and toolsets to setup, monitor and report on the status as required.
He/she will be working with stakeholders from Application Development, Testing, and Infrastructure teams.

The person should be an innovative, highly skilled individual who can add value to the IT community at a practical level and work with developers, infrastructure staff and technical architects.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

The role of the Test Environment Analyst within the organisation is to understand the design of environments, and execute the activities necessary to the delivery of the environments. He/She will be involved in the understanding the processes and toolsets to setup, monitor and report on the status as required.

Contributing Responsibilities

Understanding the Test environment infrastructure and Application components
Coordinate with Infrastructure and Application teams to resolve Test environment issues and fulfil requests
Analyse and provide solution to environment L2 Incidents and requests
Understanding the tools within the environment, and the required integrations
Build and Setup including the hardware, software, integrations and data required to support the testing environment
Implementing the environments for each application with associated configuration items and interfaces (provisioning of infrastructure and database, deployment of software, installing/refreshing data, setting up the interfaces, setting up the required access rights)
Drawing upon specialist skills (such as a configuration management subject matter expert) within the organization, orchestrating their activities
Create build books and SOPs for Test environment build/setup and all kind of requests
Following the defined standard operating procedure for delivery of test environments
Following the standard procedures to monitor, support and report on each environment availability
Root cause analysis and Long term solution for problems
Identify service improvements and drive automation

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Server OS : Windows / Unix platforms, Knowledge on Jenkins, Database – Oracle

Scripting Language : Shell scripting, Power shell , Perl, (at least one from this list)

Specific Qualifications (if required) : Test Environment Management experience
