Role & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache Tomcat, and NGINX in development, test, and production environments.

• Perform middleware setup including domain creation, server configuration, clustering, load balancing, and SSL configuration.

• Manage NGINX as a reverse proxy and load balancer for application servers.

• Deploy, configure, and support Java/J2EE applications (WAR/EAR) on WebLogic and Tomcat.

• Monitor middleware servers for performance, availability, and capacity, and perform tuning as required.

• Troubleshoot application server issues, memory leaks, thread dumps, GC issues, and connectivity problems.

• Implement security configurations such as SSL, certificates, authentication, authorization, and hardening.

• Perform patching, upgrades, backup, and recovery activities for middleware components.

• Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments.

• Provide 24x7 production support and handle incidents, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.

• Automate routine tasks using Shell scripts or other scripting tools.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Server (10g/12c/14c)

• Experience with Apache Tomcat administration

• Solid knowledge of NGINX configuration, reverse proxy, and load balancing

• Understanding of Java/J2EE application deployment

• Experience in Linux/Unix environments

• Knowledge of SSL, certificates, networking, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols

• Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis

• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell / Python – optional)
