System Firmware/Bios QA Engineer

Education and Experience :

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics and communication , Information Systems, or equivalent

•Minimum 3-6 year’s working experience in Infrastructure/Systems domain, telecom/embedded domain.

Knowledge and Skills :

• Good Understanding and working knowledge of hardware , firmware, OS internals and components

•Testing experiences on PC or server evaluation platforms (Intel, AMD, ARM, DSPs, IBM PowerPC),HW or Telco platforms, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded applications, embedded or Real time OS

•Hardware Abstraction Layer knowledge for any of the above microprocessors, knowledge and working of BIOS / SMBIOS / UEFI / EFI layers and HW diagnostics for x86 platforms would be preferred

•Hands on experience in testing CPU evaluation platforms.

•Good Experience in development of automation frameworks, FW test bench or work bench & HW Debug tools know how would be preferred

•Good Scripting knowledge in Python

•Working knowledge of OS system level concepts – File-system, Basic networking and OS administration knowledge with Unix/Linux/Windows systems

•Excellent analytical, problem solving & debugging skills

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English

Ability to lead and guide a team of test engineers , involve in release planning and execution with appropriate reporting to Senior management
