Job Description
- Install, configure, and manage VMware virtualization technologies and infrastructure
- Install, configure, and manage backup technologies and infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain the infrastructure to ensure it's secure and up-to-date with the latest security patches
- Establish, implement, and enforce appropriate infrastructure standards to meet business requirements
- Document system configurations, technical diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
- Respond to escalated requests for technical assistance
- Advise and make recommendations to management concerning infrastructure and related issues
- Automate via scripting and other tools to gain efficiencies and reduce opportunities for human error
