For the posts at Sl.No. (8): 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a Government recognized Institution.

For the posts at Sl.No. (9): 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Computer Applications from a Government recognized Institution.

For the posts at Sl.No. (10): 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation from a Government recognized Institution.

For the posts at Sl.No. (11): 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Government recognized Institution.

For the posts at Sl.No. (12):- 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Refrigeration / Air Conditioning from a Government recognized Institution.

Lab Attendant-1 /9 Posts

For the posts at Sl.No. (13):10th pass with 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board or ITI/Trade certificate in Catering & Hospitality Assistant or equivalent issued by Government agencies.

For the posts at Sl. No. (14):10th pass with 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board or ITI/Trade certificate in computer operator & programming assistant issued by Government agencies.

Qualification: 10th pass with 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board plus one year working experience in a Government recognized / approved / registered lab

For the posts at Sl. No. (16):Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade)/7 Posts

Qualification: Matric / S.S.C or equivalent from a recognized board with a valid driving license issued by RTO of any State and authorized to drive Light Motor Vehicles (Goods & Passenger) and Two wheeler with/without Gear and two years experience in recognized organization / Institute.

Preference will be given to those who have license other than above to drive Heavy Motor Vehicle (Goods & Passenger) and Three Wheeler (Auto Rickshaw).

Pay Scale : Rs. 19,900-63,200

Age limit for the Departmental candidate for the post of Technical Assistant is 35 years and for the post of Technician-1 / Lab Attendant-1 / Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) is 40 years.

Application Fee: Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) towards application fee drawn in favour of “The Director, ICMR-VCRC, Puducherry” to be submitted along with duly filled-in application. SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. ICMR employees are not exempted from payment of application fee

Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC) is one of the permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research established in 1975 at Pondicherry.A centre of excellence for research and training in vector-borne diseases and control and a WHO collaborating Centre for Research and Trainining in Lymphatic Filariasis and Integrated Methods of Vector Control.
