National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) invites applications for the position of Technical Officer

Subject Filing up of two posts of Technical Officer in the Level-7 (44900- 142400) (Pre-revised: PB-2 Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-) in the Computer & Systems Division in the National Crime Records Bureau on deputation reg.

1. Position: Technical Officer

3. Pay Level: Level-7 (44900- 142400)

4. Classification: General Central Service, Group 'B' Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

5. Eligibility:

Officers of the Central Government/ State Governments/ Union Territories/Recognized institutes/ research Public Sector Undertakings Semi-Government or Statutory or autonomous organizations:

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or

(i) with five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-2, Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department; and

(b) Qualifications and experience: possessing the following educational Master's Degree in Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Computer Science from a recognized University/ Institute, OR B.E./ B.Tech in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology Computer Science and Information Technology from a recognized University/Institute. Engineering

6. Place of Posting: New Delhi

7. Period of Deputation:

Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall not ordinarily exceed three years.

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of a receipt of applications.

NCRB was set up in 1986 to function as a repository of information on crime and criminals so as to assist the investigators in linking crime to the perpetrators, based on the recommendations of the National Police Commission (1977-1981) and the MHA’s Taskforce (1985).
