As a full stack Java Developer you will work on the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of programming applications to satisfy requirements of multiple areas of business. You will be involved from the beginning stages of business requirements and a domain understanding or a desire to get the domain understanding will be one of the pillars of your skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with the infrastructure, development and architecture team to enforce best practices for all aspects of systems development including requirements, design, build and testing/validation
- Propose standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards
- Adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security policies, processes and procedures when reviewing applications
- Manage the relationship with internal LOBs to ensure superior service delivery for all application core technologies
- Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications
- Build / improve client relationships through proactive communication and face-to-face meetings
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Passionate about building an innovative culture
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
- 5+ years of professional experience as an enterprise application developer with advanced level skills in Java/J2EE
- Strong experience developing Web based applications preferably using Angular 2+ or React and Spring boot.
- Mobile software development experience is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency with:
- Open Source Technologies: JUnit, Log4J, Spring, Hibernate, Maven
- Using Eclipse or any variant of Eclipse IDE
- Python
- Experience with the following:
- Database programming using SQL
- Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, Angular 2+ or ReactJS, JQuery, Json and Spring Boot.
- Messaging JMS, MQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
