This position holder will be responsible for pre-sales and post sales technical support activities for Yaskawa VIPA Controls PLC and HMIs, Yaskawa AC Drives and Servos in their regions. The objective is to integrate the various products available in VIPA India and Automation Combine product basket while offering technically feasible solutions in the field of automation to the Indian industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Bachelor of Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, power electronics and/ or Mechatronic in Engineering from a four-year college or related technical school.
• Working experience in PLC Programming on Simatic Manager and TIA Portal a must.
  

Those who do not have working experience of executing at least 10 projects with Simatic Manager / TIA Portal need not apply for this position.

• SCADA systems e. g. Movicon, Wonderware, KepserverEX and/ or Iconics. 4. Experience with industrial communication networks such as RS-232, RS-485, Profibus,
  

Profinet and CAN along with Modbus, Devicenet, CANOpen and Ethernet protocols. 5. 2+ year of experience with programming S7 300, S7 1500 and/ or S7 1200 PLCs. 6. 2+ year of site commissioning experience with S7 300, S7 1500 and/ or S7 1200 PLCs. 7. Knowledge of controlled drive engineering. 8. Energetic, self-motivated and focused. 9. Strong relationship builder. 10. Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally. 11. Team player who is able to work independently as required. 12. Strong interpersonal, analytic and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot products from i. Yaskawa PLC, drives and motion BU. ii. Industrial Network Solutions BU iii. SCADA BU. iv. Energy Meter BU.
• Answer technical support calls. 3. Provide application, product selection and cross-reference assistance based on
  

customer requirements. 4. Assist in identifying root cause of faults and errors. 5. Work with Onsite staff and software developers to ensure maximum system uptime. 6. Assessing of Client s Automation Engineering Requirements. 7. Designs test scenarios to identify system issues. 8. Trains internal and external customers to increase system knowledge, resolve issues
and prevent issues from recurring. 9. Independently plan and conduct small to medium-size assigned Automation projects
requiring conventional types of plans, investigations and/ or equipment. Manages multiple often concurrent projects.

• Independently design and lead complex engineering studies and experiments often with multiple products from VIPA India and Automation Combine product basket.
• Analyze complex problems and identify their impact. establish probabilities. draw conclusions reflecting broad business needs. Set complex design and process requirements.
• Assist customers with product information for Automation Combines industrial automation products.
• Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
• Lead and/ or participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals. 15. Identify and qualify potential accounts and promote Automation Combine products. 16. Other duties as assigned by management.,
