JOB TITLE: Technical Trainer II
Primary Responsibility
Conducts in-house classes for entry level to senior personnel. Prepares and teaches classes. Prepares and maintains training materials and documentation. Conducts Regional training Needs Analysis. Mentors L1 and L2 (where applicable). Develops, implements, and delivers technical training programs that enhance individual learning and meet the needs of various functional or institutional productivity improvement efforts. Assesses current skill levels and determines and develops individual and group training plans.

Ability to manager National Programs. Able to apply hybrid design principles and has knowledge of emerging learning trends and technologies. Capable of handling challenges to content delivery and able to judge how best to ensure that flow of session is maintained. Able to deconstruct any models used, assess against similar or challenging models, and answer challenges. Able to apply hybrid design principles and has knowledge of emerging learning trends and technologies. Leads on projects that have impact within BU and Able to execute against timelines. Can apply coaching principle to their area of subject matter expertise. Understand how to get the most from and with others. Ability to integrate
adult learning concepts into training programs.
Advanced knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum development, design, and delivery. Works collaboratively.
Conduct Regional needs analysis conversations and make recommendations including fully coherent business outcomes analysis aligned to and/or based on business Objectives and KPI’S. May speak at conferences. Active in social networks and social media and shares awareness of emerging trends in learning and technology. Conduct existing Stakeholder conversations and manage them, FL/Head of or SM
Coach Rackers to specific topic to materials. Defines skill sets necessary to perform technical aspects of broad position functions or specific technical positions. Performs assessments to identify training needs for groups or individuals. Develops an appropriate mix of formal and informal training activities. Identifies appropriate measurement instruments and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes. Designs and delivers training programs. Coordinates and prepares instructional materials for training and development programs. Maintains appropriate records of training activities and programs. Researches and recommends externally developed programs. Coaches and supports learners through development of peer networks. Maintains current knowledge of training concepts and principles.
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. May coach individuals as a result of learning connection.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or equivalent work experience. Industry recognized certifications preferred. Requires 5-7 years of experience as a technology practitioner. High school diploma or equivalent required.
General office environment. Low levels of stress may occur when troubleshootingdatabase. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. No special physical demands required. Schedule flexibility to include working a weekend day regularly and holidays as required by the business for 24/7 operations. Occasional travel, less than 10%.
