What you need to be successful
- BA/BS or MA/MS in Technical Communication, English, Instruction Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience writing software documentation, creating instructional video content, and developing related forms of user assistance.
Must have
- Superior written and oral communication skills Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, engaging content in a modern, conversational style for a range of audiences Clear, persuasive style in meetings, emails, and other forms of communication
- Experience with varied user assistance deliverables, processes, and techniques Experience writing on-screen text and messages, and reviewing user interfaces to ensure usability and adherence to style standards Experience with, and knowledge of, a range of visual information design techniques Demonstrated proficiency in understanding user requirements and implementing them in documentation and instructional videos Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts and procedures
- Organizational skills and problem solving Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, schedule, and meet aggressive deadlines Proven track record of delivering on time and to quality metrics Organized, professional, motivated, and good at making quick decisions Proven ability to think critically, solve problems, and take initiative

Detailed Description And Job Requirements
Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance, test or user manuals for paper, multimedia or web-based publications. Contributes to the timely design, production and delivery/completion of product documentation and document sets.
As a member of the technical writing division, you will organize and prepare information for publication and develop publication concepts for the best communication of subject matter. Review technical information prepared by other staff members for clarity and content. Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
