Education and Experience Required:

Typically a First Level University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of 2 years related experience or an Advanced University degree and 1+ years related experience or equivalent.
Understands software and hardware technology concepts and develops working knowledge of products/processes, applications and systems in assigned area of responsibility such as authoring tools and source management.
Ability to operate in multiple disciplines (multi-platform products).

Job Description:

Looking for a highly motivated information developer with 2+ years of experience in product documentation.
He/She analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information –web content (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides in html & PDF formats),and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and/or sets-up, loads and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Develops standards and style documents and templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure common look and feel. As a member of the product development team, interfaces with cross-functional areas, such as marketing, support, pre-sales, etc.

Responsibilities:

Use-case identification: Understand the requirement and formulate customer use cases that can be documented.
Process adherence and Deliverable ownership: Make sure to follow the required development process at all stages and deliver on the committed time. Take the responsibility to develop high quality product.
Customer support: Analyze customer comments and requests and provide them updated content in a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis to identify and own the improvement areas.
Technical expertise: Develop good knowledge about the domain, overall product, deployment scenarios. Keep upto date with technologies and content creation and publishing tools.
