NIIT is looking for “Technical Writer”

Role: Technical Writer
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in

The teams work on training and development projects for Fortune
500 clients that impact their employees and their partners.
Professional
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality training
material that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its
intended audience. By applying tested instructional design theory,
practice and methods.
- Actively manage team, upskill and
lead technical content development.
- Analyze existing source content
and smart modification to add value to content.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
- Ability to conduct one-on-one
interviews for content acquisition with subject-matter experts, either in
person or by phone
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain
organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with limited
supervision
- Strong computer skills, including
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with computer technology
and ability to handle end-user software independently
- Ability to understand Industrial
engineering content and translate them into instructionally sound
materials.
- Any teaching background is a bonus
as most of the materials being developed would be taught in a class room
- Intellectually curious to
understand new technologies.
- Proven experience in technical
writing, such as software documentation, along with excellent written
skills in English.
- Should be a good motivator, with
lot of energy and enthusiasm with a proven ability to learn quickly,
multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver high quality
training material by paying attention to precise detail.
- Should be able to adapt and
develop quick understanding to the technological changes and make them
easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Should be able to work with team
effectively and increase the productivity.
- Strong working knowledge of
Microsoft PowerPoint. Working knowledge of articulate tools and Camtasia
and exposure or hands on with learning management system will be a plus.
- Practical Exposure to any live
systems will be an added advantage.
- Should be from B.tech/ BE
background
Responsibilities:
· Interview and
gather content from subject-matter experts.
· Analyze other source
materials for content
· Draft course content,
e.g. analysis documents and scripts
· Maintain accurate records
of client requests and edits
· Select photos and other
images to be used in courses
· Construct courses using
proprietary content-development tools
· Proofread and edit all text
· Maintain professional
relationships with clients
