Job Description

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS Pilani) invites application for the position Technician

No. of Positions and Job Location: One Position in K.K. Birla Goa Campus

Qualification and Personal Profile: B.Sc. in any branch of Biological Sciences preferably Zoology with minimum 3 years’ of relevant laboratory experience. Prior experience in handling animal house / handling laboratory animals will be an added advantage.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
(i) Handling the Animal House which involves daily care of the animal house, cage cleaning, mice / rat breeding and maintenance of mice / rat colony
(ii) Routine operation and maintenance of Animal House and / or Greenhouse.
(iii) Setting up of and demonstrating laboratory experiments.
(iv) Assisting in teaching laboratories and classroom demonstrations.
(v) Assisting in procurement of materials.
(vi) Setting up and maintenance of LMS for laboratory usage in each semester.
(vii) Record keeping, maintaining daily logs & equipment record books.
(viii) Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department from time-to-time
