The Test Automation Engineer is a hands-on role technical role that is responsible for
designing and developing automated test processes, scripts and tools as it relates to the
Global R&D group.
Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence
Automate and execute test cases, manage defects and report testing status to product
teams
Use best practices to devise test methodologies and test strategies that provide
complete coverage of requirements
Create and execute automated system tests to replicate real-world business scenariosAnalyse the root cause for testing failures and open appropriate defects with sufficient
findings
Generate traceability matrices all the way from user stories or business requirements to
automated test cases
Monitor and manage continuous integration environmentsBe creative, independent, self-motivated and willing to learn new technologiesPossess strong analytical skills and be an out of box thinkerMust have excellent written communication skills, including the ability to effectively
document procedures, processes and results.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Experience developing automated frameworks using Selenium, SOAPUI, Cucumber,
Gherkin, Geb, Postman
Experience writing code in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python,
Groovy or any other scripting language
Familiarity with using a build tool such as Maven, ANT or GradleExperience with version control systems like Git and BitbucketExperience with Jenkins, Bamboo or any other CI toolsFamiliarity with testing at both the UI and API layersExposure to testing mobile applications and devicesFamiliarity with SQL databases like MS SQL Server or Oracle DBProficiency with OOP conceptsSome experience with test driven and behaviour driven developmentFamiliarity with the agile development processes and working on a scrum teamFamiliarity with GCP and 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus
