Designated Trade : Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Draughtsman (Mechanical),Welder (Gas and Electric),Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Surveyor, Plumber, Carpenter, Mason, Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Electroplater, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, and Computer Network Technician.

Qualification  :  Passed ITI in the trade.

Stipend :  As stipulated in Apprenticeship Rules – 1992. At present it is ₹7750/- per month for all apprentices irrespective of the trade. This may be revised as per the notified minimum monthly wage for a semi-skilled worker in the state of Madhya Pradesh prevailing on October 15, 2019.

Age Limits : The date of birth of the candidates shall be between 15/10/1997 and 14/10/2001.

Selection Procedure:  The applications will be sorted on the following basis:

Candidates shall have passed ITI either in 2017 or after 2017. Candidates who passed out ITI in 2016 or before are not eligible to apply.

Candidates are required to apply for only one of the designated trades mentioned in Table-1. Candidate should possess ITI certificate in the respective trade mentioned in the last column of Table-1.

In case insufficient applications are received in some of the trades then RRCAT reserves the right to increase the number of apprentices in some other trades so that the apprenticeship opportunity is extended to candidates of other trades. RRCAT also reserves the right to increase the number of training places up to 25% of the originally specified training places in aggregate subject to a capping of 10% of total number of employees of the organisation applied on the total number of apprentices engaged by the organisation.

Candidates must have passed the 10th class board examination prior to taking admission in ITIs and secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate in 10th class board examination.

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of ‘one third of percentage of marks in ITI’ and ‘two third of percentage of marks in 10th class’. The sum will be rounded off to two places of decimal. In case of a tie, a candidate having higher percentage of marks in 10th Class board examination will be accorded a higher rank.

The merit list will be displayed on RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal on 25/09/2019.

Candidates appearing on the merit list shall confirm their participation in the document verification process by 29/09/2019. A link for confirmation will be made available through email. The candidates shall check RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal and their emails regularly. All candidates who confirm joining trade apprenticeship scheme at RRCAT shall immediately start tracking the process of getting their police verification certificate of address mentioned on their Aadhaar cards. This is a mandatory document for joining the programme.

A final merit list will be published on the RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal on 01/10/2019 based on the confirmations received and number of vacancies.

Candidates appearing on the final merit list shall appear for document verification personally at RRCAT at 1000 hours on 07/10/2019.

On February 19, 1984 the President of India, Gyani Zail Singh, aid the foundation stone of the centre. Construction of laboratories and houses began in May 1984.
