Purple Patch jobs - Trainee PHP Developer

Job Description : 

Purple Patch is seeking creative and motivated PHP full stack developers to be part of our Technology Team. We are looking for candidates interested in building performant and responsive web apps on web platforms. You will be responsible for architectural thinking and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, hence a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Code in PHP to build pixel-perfect, create easy to use backends for web applications.

- Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.

- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for the performance that feels native.

- Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

REQUIREMENTS

- Expert in building websites in them LAMP stack with knowledge of at least one web framework [Laravel/CodeIgnitor/YII]

- Knowledge of working with PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript bugs in production

- Knowledge of responsive websites using Bootstrap framework.

- Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming

- Ability to write well-documented & clean code

- Rock-solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts

- Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage

- Experience with automated testing suites

- Ability to take full ownership of work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon, both in regards to estimates and to the general process.

- An understanding of development best practices and a commitment to following them.

DURATION & STIPEND STRUCTURE

This is a full-time internship for 6 months with an opportunity for a permanent role based on the performance.
