Job Description

  • If the Media and Entertainment Industry has fascinated you, this could be the break you are looking out for.
  • Prime Focus Technologies is expanding its Subtitling Team, and we are on the lookout for talented Language Experts Translators for subtitling films & TV shows.
  • Job Role: Hindi/ Gujarati/ Tamil/ Bengali to English SubtitlingProcess: Subtitling
  • Designation: Media Associate/ QC Analyst
  • Subtitles translate the dialogue/narrative of a film/TV show for viewers.
  •  They appear as text at the bottom of the screen while content is playing out.The position involves creating or editing English subtitles created for regional language TV shows/movies.
Job requirements:
  • Working on maintaining consistency of terminology while translating.
  • Quality assuring, proofreading and editing final translated versions and providing feedback as necessary to required team members
  • Fluency in English .
  • Experience and familiarity with movies and serials.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Basic typing skills.
  • Good internet research skills.
  • Candidates with translation and content writing(creative writing) experience are preferred.
  • Researching idioms, technical content, colloquial expressions etc. using various online resources, dictionaries and thesauruses to find the correct contextual translations.
