Your Role and Responsibilities
Day-to-Day TSM Server management, Client Management Registration installation,
configuring client parameters, associating to schedules and scheduler service configuring.
Troubleshooting Recovery LOG, DB, and Storage pool issues.
Resolving the issues based on the priority.
Performance Tuning of TSM SERVER and Client.
Working on daily Restore tasks
Closing the Incidents based on Priority
Preparing and sending the daily reports
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 02 years exp in IT industry
Need to Expertise in TSM Server Upgrades
Required Extended Knowledge on OS level Configuration of Devices and Errors related to devices
Configuration and Implementation of DRM & LANFREE backups.
Required more Knowledge on various Database restores like SQL, Exchange, DB2.
Knowledge and Expertise on to size and plan for storage hardware upgrades to meet customer’s growth.
Cloud and Container Storage pools Configurations
Requires training on Advanced Administration & Implementation of TSM tools of latest level
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Tivoli Storage Manager Servers TSM 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and 8.x
Tivoli Data Protection Agent TDP (Oracle, Microsoft Exchange and SQL
Good knowledge on maintenance of Physical & VTL Libraries
Sound familiarity with Windows 2008/12/16 and Windows other Client
Operating Systems at the user level.
Advanced ability (Expertise in Tivoli Storage Manager Server and Client administration in Windows and UNIX.
Extensive Work on Restores mainly with NetVault
Daily working on Repeat Failures and repeated issues.
Defining scripts using SQL Statements for daily reports and working on as per Priority.
Configuring SERVER process like Expiration, Storage Pool Migration, Collocation and Reclamation of TAPE Storage Pool Volumes
Checking OS error logs and events for any OS related performance issues which effects TSM, if any errors, Resolving issues using OS Performance tools.
Worked extensively on Planning, Implementation, Administration and upgrade of BA Clients and variety of TDP Client applications
