Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Unix Administrator, you are responsible for design, development, implementation and support Unix infrastructure on both on-premises and cloud Environment.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor the infrastructure to support UNIX-Linux Server Maintain secure infrastructure Maintain best practices on managing system and security across all the environments Apply OS patches and upgrades Planning and implementing automation
- Perform Daily system checks of the application servers.
- Prepare maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for the Application Servers.
- Set up Jenkins/UCD scripts to perform regular deployments on lower and production environments.
- Responsible for deployments and health checks of the application hosted on AIX/LINUX servers.
- Support/drive weekend deployments/maintenance activities/disaster drill tasks whenever required.
- Coordinate with various teams and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of the problem.
- You are responsible for design, development, implementation and support Unix infrastructure on both on-premises and cloud Environment.
- Maintain logs of all issues and ensure resolutions are documented for future reference.
- Provide support to Business Partners in analysing specific business initiatives and identifying the appropriate application system solution through integration of processes, systems and information to fulfil business objectives

Required Technical and Professional Expertise- Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT Industry Unix Administration
- Linux administration (Redhat/Suse/Ubuntu) and AIX administration Automation experience in OS Patching and upgrades
- Ability to work independently with Vendor to resolve issues ( OS and Hardware)
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring middleware and troubleshooting Linux/AIX based environment
- Knowledge on SAN and NAS storage Experience with Physical, Virtual and containerized environment
- Proactive monitoring and capacity planning experience
- Knowledge on Ansible or other automation tool is must Scripting Knowledge Bash/Python/Perl to automate day to day activities
- Willing to adopt new technology Expertise in Cluster configuration and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Incident and Change Management
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise- Working experience in Agile environment.
- Cloud experience OpenShift and Kubernetes knowledge
