Job Description

The Chairman of The Selection Committee constituted by The Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University cum The Hon'ble Governor of Assam to select The Vice Chancellor Of the Unwersity, Invites applications from distinguished academicians who have attained academic excellence with proven leadership quality and meet the following requirements:

Shall be an eminent scholar and administrator

Possess Ph.D. In any branch of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Education, Research and Development With a minimum of 10 years of service in the rank of professor or equivalent from research or extension System of State I Central Agricultural I-Jnwersities / other similarly placed institutions.
3. The retirement age of The Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University is 70 years and persons who have a minimum of 5 years of service left on the last date of application ( i e. 24th of April, 2020) shall be preferred unless in case of outstanding candidate with proven record of excellence in a similar position Knowledge on Agriculture in North Eastern India shall be desirable.
