Job Description

Details of Advertisement including eligibility for the post of Vice-Chancellor

The Chairman, Search Committee invites Applications from the eligible candidates, i.e. distinguished academicians having a minimum of ten years experience as Professor in a University or a College or ten years experience in an equivalent position in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization and of highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment.

The Appointment will be for a period of 03 years or up to the age of 70 years whichever is earlier. The Vice-Chancellor shall receive such pay and allowances as may be determined by the State Government from time to time.

Age Limit:The Appointment will be for a period of 03 years or up to the age of 70 years whichever is earlier.

Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, was founded in 1727 AD by one of the greatest rulers of the Kachhawaha clan, the astronomer king Sawai Jai Singh. It was designed by the brilliant architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. Sawai Jai Singh came to the throne of Amer in 1699, at the tender age of 11 years and showed signs of his brilliance even at that early age. He faced many difficulties but overcame each, and thus proved a strong and able ruler who could establish peace and stability. By 1725, he decided to build a bigger city Jaipur - and moved his capital from Amer to Jaipur.
