Vice Chancellor recruitment in Agriculture University, Kota from

The Chairman Selection Committee (constituted as per section 25 (1) of Agriculture University, Kota Act-2013) invites application in the prescribed format for appointment for the post of Vice-Chancellor, Agriculture University, Kota from distinguished / eminent educationist/ scientists/ academicians with the highest level of competence and institutional commitment and having minimum qualification i.e. to say at least six years experience on the post of professor or equivalent in teaching or research or extension system of agriculture of any university or research centre in the country, out of which at least three years of experience should be as Dean of Faculty of any agriculture university or Principal or Dean of any Agriculture College or Director as defined in clause k of section 2. “Director” means Director Prioritization Monitoring and Evaluation/ Director Research/ Director Extension Education/ Director Human Resources Development, Director Students Welfare and other Directors of specified areas which the University may create from time to time.

The appointment will be for the period of three years or upto the age of 70 years,whichever is earlier. The Vice-Chancellor shall receive such pay and allowances as may be determined by the State Government in addition to it he or she shall be entitle to free furnished residence maintained by the University and such other perquisites as may be prescribed.

The Agriculture University, Kota (AUK) was established on 14th September, 2013 after bifurcation of the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology (MPUAT),Udaipur and Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU),Bikaner through promulgation of Act No. 22 of 2013. The University has been created for the agricultural development in South-East and Eastern Rajasthan which is having diversified agriculture situations from rainfed to canal irrigated agriculture.
