Vice Chancellor job vacancies in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir 

Qualifications  :  1. A distinguished scientist or academician with Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture or related fields 2. Not less than 20 years of experience in teaching, research and extension education in agriculture or related fields in public funded research institutions of repute, out of which at least 10 years of experience at the level of Professor in a University System/ Research institution. 3. Minimum of 20 research publications in peer-reviewed / referred international journals or published quality books in recognized discipline, referenced for study in higher education. 4. Experience of international exposure through participation in meetings, workshops, seminars, or conferences held outside the country. 5. Experience of organizing events such as workshops, seminars conferences at international level within the country. 6. Demonstrated experience in leadership.

Desirable :  1. Administrative experience of at least five years in handling affairs of any university or a national institution as VC/ Dean/ Director. 2. Experience of working in Statutory Authorities of a university such as Board of Studies/ Academic Council/ Executive Council/ Board of Management. 3. Experience of handling accreditation procedures, quality assessment and guiding students for Masters' and PhD. Any aspirant for this position should also possess the following skills and competencies.

Age Limit :  The position is filled up on tenurial basis for a period not exceeding five years or attainment of 65 years of age, whichever is earlier. Aspirants for this position should not be more than 62 years of age as on the closing date of application.
