Job Description

 Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:


1. Filming video on set and on location
2. Working with creative teams to plan video shoots
3. Setting up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment
4. Editing footage after recording
5. Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list
6. Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques
7. Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value
8. Trimming footage and putting together the rough project
9. Inserting dialouge, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects
10. Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence
11. Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project
12. Creating the final cut for broadcasting
13. Adding computer graphics, closed captioning, and special effects to footage

Skills Required:

1. Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing methods of video-making
2. Multitasking skills for working with many crew members at once
3. Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills
5. Knowledge of post-production techniques
6. Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods
7. Understanding of computer software used for planning, editing, and scripting
