Visiting Scientist recruitment in Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar

Applications are invited for one visiting scientist position to work on a project broadly defined as ”Investigating Quantum materials”. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in the group of prof Arun Jayannavar and Dr. Saptarshi Mandal at IOP, Bhubaneswar.

Qualification: The candidate must have a Ph.d degree or submitted thesis with a background of research in various aspects of quantum matters.

Tenure: The position is initial meant for 3 months and is extendible for further period of 3 more months.

Remuneration: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 30,000(Thirty thousands per month only). Hostel or efficiency apartment will be arranged and subjected to availability.

Desirable: It is desirable that the candidate has some experience to work in various aspects of quantum matters using standard many body methods. Knowing Density functional theory is preferable.
