Job Description

VOIP Engineer/Telephony Network Engineer

Experience : 2 to 5 Years 

Location : Hyderabad

Telephony Skill Set : 

  • SExpertise in FreeSWITCH - modules, profiles, and dial plan
  • Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, RTP, SDP, and PRI
  • Hands-on experience in configuring any 3 widely used IP phone models (ex: Grand stream, Yealink, Cisco, etc.,)
  • Networking Skill Set
  • Understanding of network architecture at different locations
  • Understanding of OS level firewall (IP-tables)
  • In-depth understanding of LAN, WAN, NAT, DHCP, Routing, Firewall and ICMP, TCP, UDP, RTP, SIP protocols
  • Working knowledge of network packet capturing tools like Wireshark (Windows),Tcpdump (Linux)

Your job responsibilities : 

  • Real-time call monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Real-time network performance troubleshooting
  • Simulating SIP traffic by using SIPp tool
  • Troubleshooting SIP messages within the same network and behind the NAT
  • Maximizing network performance by troubleshooting network problems, and outages
  • Providing remote support to on-site engineers, end users or customers during network related problems
  • Dealing with network interface settings in both Windows and Linux environments

You should also : 

  • Have a basic understanding of codecs and webRTC
  • Be able to quickly self-learn new or unfamiliar technology/products
  • Be familiar with SIP clients like Zoiper, X-Lite, etc
  • Be dependable and flexible, especially during outages and emergencies
