Your Role and Responsibilities
As a VRA VRO support professional, you will be part of the automation team and be involved in event monitoring, incident management, problem management and continuous improvement. In alignment with IT Strategy of modernization infrastructure to enhance customer experience, improve velocity, agility and transform to IT as a Service model, the Orchestration and Automation team will also enable the customer to build additional services.

Responsibility

Serves as a subject matter expert for automation and orchestration
Supports the existing Automation Portals and provisioning scripts.
Develop Linux and Windows provisioning scripting

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum of 8+ years of Experience in IT industry
Proven experience in Automated provisioning using vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO),Strong Skill set in JavaScript
Ability to support the automation environment including troubleshooting vRA and vRO issues
Define and implement efficient end-to-end provisioning of Linux and Windows VMs
Develop and document automated workflows
Excellent scripting skills (Example: shell scripts, PowerShell, Javascript)
Ability to create vRealize workflows that utilize multiple systems/APIs/Languages
Experience with Service now APIs
Knowledge of VMware, Storage and Database technologies
Excellent coding and GUI skills
Experience with RedHat Linux, Windows Server 2008 and 2012
Core Java web application/automation development and ability to provide automation solutions
Hands on working knowledge with a high level object-oriented programming language is highly desirable
Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure a plus

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Expertise in VMware vRealize Automation and VMware vRealize Orchestration (vRA/vRO) Development
Knowledge in designing XAAS blueprints, Resource Action
Ability to translate new requirements/ function to working solution in vRO which include â
- Gather requirement
- Design
- Develop the flow
- Testing
- Code promotion
Strong Skill set in JavaScript
Development knowledge using the REST /SOAP API
Strong Skill set in Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python)
In-depth knowledge in Infrastructure (windows or linux)
Solid understanding of VMware vSphere
Expertise in Chef, Ansible will be add-on
