About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Building APIs, UIs, and infrastructure management tools to manage data processing pipeline
2. Creating software architecture based on system requirements,
3. Deploying and managing apps and services on our cloud infrastructure
4. Working on active infrastructure monitoring through logs and metrics to guarantee uptime and security
5. Working with the team to manage, optimize and customize multiple web applications
6. Creating and maintaining technical documentation
7. Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system (MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle)
8. Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

Other requirements

1. Proficient in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework (such as Django, Flask, etc depending on your technology stack)

2. Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)

3. Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture

4. Good understanding of server-side templating languages (Jinja 2, Mako, etc)

5. Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3

6. Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

7. Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

8. Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

9. Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python

10. Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform

11. Understand the socket programming

12. Strong unit test and debugging skills

13. Proficient understanding of code versioning (GitLab, GitHub)
