Department Overview
Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation /Community Bank Technology within the Enterprise Information Technology business provides strategic technology solutions to the both the PVSI and Community Banking lines of business, including application design, development, and support.
About The
Role
Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with developers, clients and IT management for web systems environments. Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with web and e-commerce application installations, upgrades and deployments. Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate web systems with existing systems, enabling the creation of new or expanded web enterprises. Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures. Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems involving the maintenance and/or creation of web sites and e-commerce applications and their integration into the existing systems environment. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
Responsibilities
Leading Team on all technical issues related to APP and WEB tier.
- Adapt the new technology, environments and standards as per the team's requirements.
- Able to work on both Windows and UNIX platforms.
- Should be able to work in 16X7 model (The shift includes to cover both Saturday and Sunday throughout the project)
- Should have worked with the Vendors and understand the engagement model of various product vendors for any ongoing issues.
- Should have experience in application support (also be able to provide support on-call)
Esential
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in Middleware Administration (Weblogic,Tomcat, Apache, IIS)
- Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be independent and creative in approach to problems/issues and proactive.
- Ability to attend many tasks simultaneously, with frequently changing priorities.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize a demanding and varied workload.
- Demonstrated ability to keep up with an ever-changing technical environment.
- Highly self-motivated with a confident, do the right thing, attitude.
- Organized, excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Shell/Perl/Python Scripting experience is required
- Certified in any of the middleware technologies, ITIL v3 Foundation Certified.
- Ticketing systems- Candidate should have experience working with problem ticket systems. Ticketing system they use is PAC 2000 (they can use another such as clarity, remedy, etc). Need to have exposure and be able to document their work within the tool to resolve issues
- Having good exposure to Devops tools like Udeploy,GitHub,Puppet etc.,
- Must have exposure to any of the data analytic tools like Splunk or Nagios
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering discipline.
- Experience of 12+ years in Middleware production support.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
Desired
Qualifications
- Experience of working in production support of middleware applications ( Tomcat )
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification
