Designation Windows Application Engineer Job Role Profile MS Windows Application Service Engineer Business Unit Infrastructure Operations Relevant Experience Role in current employment 45 years relevant experience EndUser Support experience Scripting skills will also be advantageDevelopment Database and Infrastructure experience would be advantageous ITIL v3 certification would be advantageous Application knowledge Dot Net Framework and IIS will be advantageRequirement is not for an AD administrator looking for someone who can work together with Developers understanding how their applications are influenced by the Operation Systems Key accountabilities KRAs KPIs Proactively identifying problems and managing risks that might compromise the availability of applications End to end monitoring of service and application availability Providing 2nd level enduser support for a portfolio of applications Problem analysis for a portfolio of applications across multiple platforms Restoring services after a break in availability Maintain service availability according to Service Level Agreements Continuous improvement of service availability and performance levels Participation in the release management of new applications upgrades changes Capacity planning for the Applications Portfolio Preventative maintenance activities such as Security Updates Life cycle management of Application services Vendor engagement for problem resolution and application support Disaster recovery and business continuity planning for Application services Skills Competencies Technical Optional Advantages TICK and ELK Open Source monitoring tools GITAnsiblePython scripting Competencies Excellent problem solving organizational and communication skills System analysis skills Must be willing to work after hours and perform standby duties on multiple applications Must be able to work under pressure Must be a team player and able to build relationships Must be detail oriented
