Key Responsibilities Area :
WordPress Development:
Understanding the WordPress core is essential.
This includes knowledge of the underlying architecture, template hierarchy, hooks, and filters. You should be comfortable working with core files and understanding how different components interact.
It includes theme development, plugin customization, integration of APIs, database management, and utilizing WordPress features effectively.
Build a customized WordPress theme, or modify an existing WordPress theme, to suit the needs of the main website.
Develop and administer captivating and user friendly websites for our clients.
Maintaining existing codebase, to include troubleshooting bugs and adding new features.
Create custom post types, taxonomies, and other WordPress features as needed.
HTML files are converted into PHP files to generate the necessary HTML output.
Front-End Development:
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, and responsive design principles.
It involves creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user experience.
Back-End Development:
Knowledge of back-end technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and server-side scripting.
Handling data, server configurations, security implementations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the website's back-end.
Theme Development:
WordPress themes control the visual presentation of a website. You should be skilled in developing custom themes from scratch using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Understanding the WordPress template system, template tags, and the use of theme frameworks like Underscores or Bootstrap can be beneficial.
Plugin Development:
Plugins extend the functionality of WordPress websites. Proficiency in developing custom plugins allows you to add specific features and customize the behavior of WordPress.
Customization and Theming:
Many WordPress websites require customization beyond standard themes and plugins.
You should be able to modify existing themes and plugins to match the client's requirements.
This involves working with PHP, CSS, and JavaScript to make changes to layouts, styles, and functionalities.
Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing:
Identify and resolve issues, bugs, or errors in WordPress websites.
Strong problem-solving skills, debugging techniques, and knowledge of WordPress coding standards.
Website Performance Optimization:
Optimizing the performance of WordPress websites.
It includes tasks such as improving page load speed, minimizing server requests, implementing caching mechanisms, optimizing images, and enhancing overall website performance.
Security Implementation:
Implement security measures to protect WordPress websites from vulnerabilities and potential attacks.
It involves securing login credentials, implementing SSL certificates, keeping themes and plugins up to date, and following security best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
Working with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure smooth project coordination.
Understanding client needs, gathering requirements, and being able to explain technical ideas in simple terms
Continuous Learning and Improvement:
Continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices.
Participating in relevant communities, attending workshops or conferences, and continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
1.5+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites
Technical Skills:
Ability to have a deep understanding of word press and its core functions and to work with different themes and customization.
Should have strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Java Script.

Customization of themes and plugins
Knowledge of PHP
MySQL
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git
Proficiency
Strong proficiency in PHP programming language, which is used for developing custom WordPress themes, plugins, and functionality.
Ability of working with databases, particularly MySQL, for managing and retrieving data from WordPress sites.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to locate errors and to think critically, evaluate different approaches, and make informed decisions when solving complex development challenges.
Developing and testing code, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product.
Adaptability and Problem Solving Skills:
Abilities to identify and resolve issues related to WordPress installations, themes, plugins, and other website components.
Being adaptable and open to change, as the web development landscape and client requirements may evolve over time.
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate with the team members and clients.
Providing updates on project progress, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Project Delivery Time:
Measure the time it takes to complete WordPress development projects.
Security and Maintenance:
Monitor the security and maintenance aspects of the WordPress websites you develop. This includes regular updates, vulnerability management, and the absence of security incidents.
