About the Role:

 JLL is looking for Support Analyst with WordPress technical skills. In this role, the person will be responsible for application development and support on a day-to-day basis, maintain, monitor application performance, and apply patches to all tiers.  Bright seasoned individual with a “get it done” mentality and ability to coach others.  Has deep understanding and passion about technology.   Experience on Microsoft Azure will be added advantage.

Responsibilities: 

·         Daily WordPress workload includes, but not limited to, WP maintenance and support, development adjustments and troubleshooting, and plugin installation.

·         Daily Azure workload includes, but not limited to, Deployment of PaaS resources to Azure, Azure and WP access management, upgrades and strategy around hosting environment.  

·         Implement new WP features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS  

·         Use of Automation and Infrastructure as code to support WP environment(s)

·         Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers

·         Development and implementation of Content Release methodology (SDLC).

·         Development and implementation or BCDR Plans and testing

Security: 

·         Work with JLL cloud infrastructure team to ensure that WP sites are correctly deployed and protected per standard IT security practices

·         Ensure any custom code written for sites passes JLL’s code review process for JLL sites

·         Ensure admin account is correctly deployed and protected per best WP practices. Maintain admin account integration with JLL’s Okta authentication

·         Review and validate access control and assignments to ensure they are (still) appropriate.  

Maintenance & Patching: 

·         Patching WordPress, WP Plugins, MySQL , PHP and other CMS components on a monthly basis or sooner where deemed critical, actively exploited, and when vulnerabilities are announced

·         Update password rules to match JLL policies (where required)

·         Setup periodic vulnerability scans (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpscan/) and action on alerts and results  

·         Monitor WordPress and Azure Security logs for any malicious attacks/requests  

·         Run performance tests quarterly, based on traffic monitor for scale up and scale down scenarios , using App Dynamics and Azure Native tools  

·         Monitor DB efficiency  

·         Find and fix any broken links  

·         Troubleshooting of maintenance tasks

Experience & Education 

·         6+ years IT experience

·         Bachelor’s is a degree in Information Science, Computer Science. Advance degree preferred.

·         Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.

·          Exceptional debugging skills and strong experience with performance tuning.

·         Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams and manage stakeholders globally across multiple project initiatives.  

·         Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.

·         Excellent technical, analytical, project management and organizational skills.

·         Good range of hands-on technical experience

Technical Skills & Competencies:  

·         Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery

·         Understanding of PHP back-end development

·         Knowledge of WordPress, WP Plugins, MySQL , PHP and other CMS components

·         Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications

·         Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

·         Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.

·         Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

·         Working Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

·         Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git }}
