Job Description

Affinity Express is looking for a strong workflow developer to join our client solutions team building industry leading publishing workflow solutions used by our clients. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in production workflow automation along with strong technical skills in logical programming, scripting, and SQL. Additional technologies such as XML, HTML, PHP and Python are used in the solution to create a complete integrated offering. Position Responsibilities and Essential Duties: (other duties may be assigned)

Develop and test new production workflow components, custom built processes and systems

Create unit tests and write code that passes them based upon written requirements

Assist in maintaining existing workflow components

Investigate new workflow-related technologies

Evaluate feedback and feature requests from internal users and customers

Diagnose and troubleshoot workflow-related problems

Respond to support requests from internal users and clients

Set up new workflows for new clients necessary
Required Candidate Profile

• 5 years of experience with programming Python, SQL (preferably MySQL),PHP and automation
• Production workflow automation
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming
• Scripting experience/Python coding experience
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Expert knowledge of JSON, XML and XSL
• Strong logical programming ability
• Experience with SVN or a similar version control system
• A strong attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be willing to travel up to 30% to customer locations if needed
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming is a plus
• Familiarity with Python Twisted event framework a plus
• Familiarity with Python Wheezy Template package a plus
