High-Level Job Description

This position is critical to the financial accounting and reporting function. The responsibilities include all aspects of accounting month end closing activities, journal entries, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, statutory compliance activities, financial reporting support and special projects.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close duties and G/L support to Accounting and Finance Managers
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries for assigned duties with adequate support
• Analyze accounts monthly for fluctuations and provide detailed explanations for variances
• Assist with preparation of monthly Financial Package and other accounting activities as necessary
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations in compliance with our internal control (SOX) requirements
• Provide support for evidence of SOX compliance
• Local tax compliance and statutory compliance activities
• Prepare audit schedules and provide support for external auditors
• Perform special projects as requested
  

Applicable to both functions

• Prepare schedules and provide support for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit- 10%
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations- 20%
  

Required And Desired Skills

• Skills:
  

– Advanced computer skills including experience with MS Excel and Microsoft Office products
– Strong oral, written and analytical skills
– Ability to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed
– Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others
– Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion
– Ability to identify areas of risk/concern in area of responsibility
– Ability to think strategically and tactically
– Self-motivated, able to work independently

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English both oral and written skills
• Technology Experience: SAP
  

Special Skills/Preferences

• Technology/Telecom Industry experience preferred
• U.S. GAAP and working knowledge of IFRS (SEC experience a plus)
  

Education/Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CA required
• 4+ years experience (some level of Public accounting preferred)
