Actuarial Consultant
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
Will be responsible for driving experience analysis and assumption setting, team objectives and new ideation, process improvement and more
Key responsibilities:
- Reserving on US GAAP, IFRS and STAT reporting basis for designated products
- Drive experience analysis and assumption setting process for designated products
- Handle EEV and CFT projection calculations for designated products
- Review SOX controls and handle audit questions independently
- Code enhancements in models for regulatory changes
- Handle year-end statutory reporting
- Support improvement initiatives
- Drive team objectives and generate new ideas for team development
- Support ad-hoc projects if any
- Handle a small team of junior resources
- Develop documentation around the existing processes
Key skills:
- A graduate in Statistics/Mathematics/Finance/Actuarial from reputed institute with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of US Life insurance, annuity and pension products
- Excellent knowledge of US regulations
- Good working knowledge of PolySystems, GGY AXIS, Perl and Advanced Excel
- Ability to coach, mentor and train junior resources
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
