Job Description

Filling up of seven posts of Assistant (Group 'B' Non - Gazetted, Ministerial) in Level - 6 of pay Matrix under the Directorate ofForensic Science Services cadre on deputation basis.

a. Post Name: Assistant

b. No of Post: 7

c. Scale of Pay: Level - 06 ofPay Matrix (Grade Pay - Rs.4200/-).

d. Eligibility: Persons under the Central Govt. holding analogous post or with five years regular service in posts in Level - 4 of Pay Matrix (Grade Pay - Rs.2400/-) or equivalent.

e. Period ofdeputation: Not exceeding three years.

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

About Company

The Directorate of Forensic Science services (DFSS) was created in the year 2002 by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, after bifurcation from BPR&D, based on the recommendations of National Human Rights Commission and Padmanabhaiah Committee on Police Reforms. The Gazette notification to this effect was issued by MHA vide its Order no. 25011/41/2001-GPA.II/PM-II on December 31, 2002. It is headed by Director-cum-Chief Forensic Scientist. It has six Central Forensic Science Laboratories under its control located at Chandigarh, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Guwahati and Bhopal.
