Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and build server-side components for Jar, focusing on efficiency and infrastructure
2. Collaborate with full-stack engineers to create high-performance REST and WebSocket APIs for frontend experiences
3. Analyze data and troubleshoot technical issues in platforms, performance, and data accuracy in the production environment
4. Contribute to creating and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement with each new hire
Requirements:
1. 0 to 6 months of hands-on experience in writing secure, efficient, high-quality code with a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
2. Previous experience with GSOC
3. Understanding of computer science fundamentals including knowledge of operating systems, computer networks, and relevant concepts to enhance user experiences
4. Experience with technologies like Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and other server-side technologies
5. Ability to architect and scale services from the ground up and maintain them
6. Familiarity with implementing services in a micro-service architecture
7. Knowledge of efficient caching mechanisms and the capability to implement them in the relevant stack
8. Demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms
