Key responsibilities:
1. Plan and synthesize ceramic catalyst materials using a suitable synthesis method.
2. Shape synthesized catalysts or ceramics into specific sizes and shapes, such as spherical beads, extrudes, or granules.
3. Assist in catalyst material shaping, specifically in preparing single-structured shapes like honeycomb ceramics.
4. Conduct experiments to optimize the composition and properties of different catalyst shapes.
5. Perform testing and evaluation, including catalyst reactivity, phase purity, and elemental analysis of prepared catalysts.
6. Prepare samples for various characterizations like XRD, SEM, ICP, BET, PSA, and more.
7. Utilize microscopy, spectroscopy, and other characterization methods to analyze the structure and properties of differently shaped catalysts.
8. Record and analyse experimental data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions to drive research objectives.
9. Compile and organize experimental data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to the research team.
10. Contribute to the preparation of technical documents, research papers, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
11. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
12. Assist in procuring and organizing materials, chemicals, and equipment necessary for experiments.
13. Ensure instrument calibration and validation based on schedule.
