The roles & responsibilities
- Close interaction with software development team (R&D@DC),PLM and Clinical Affairs to foster product development in line with business/market needs/trends and realize evaluation of new and emerging technologies
- Establishing close relationships with the assigned collaboration partners and identifying new suitable partners to facilitate product and solutions development from clinical utility perspective and risk assessment to patient care
- Supporting project teams for new product development/improvement projects, cost saving projects, compliance projects and design change
- Supports internal/external quality & regulatory audits, as applicable
- Design and preparation of clinical and analytical in vitro diagnostic device performance study plans, protocols, and reports, statistical data analysis and associated study data collection forms
- Supporting advanced clinical applications in software development research and help in driving innovative and clinically relevant IVD techniques from prototype to commercially available product in collaboration with academic and clinical partners
- Liaison between Siemens’ research collaborators and Siemens’ internal groups at DC to facilitate product development in line with business / customer requirements
- Define and drive verification & validation plans to achieve the product development team objectives and conformance to applicable standard and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with required stakeholders and teams to resolve any dependencies or impediments.
- Support the team in realizing timely and quality solutions and provide technical mentoring
- Identify clinical training needs and develop training materials for in-house, to facilitate product development
- Developing and delivering domain expertise and process training aimed at increasing the skill set of cross functional team members
- Clarify all clinical requirements obtained from end customers and/or global marketing and translate them into a mode that can be communicated to engineering teams (e.g. development and product verification).
- Initiate and support collaborations with outside key clinical investigators, researchers and key thought leaders that will contribute to clinical diagnostics excellence for Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics.
- Close collaboration between AP/Global SHS organization and research institutes, hospitals, laboratories to understand the product requirements that aids as input to product development and initiate efforts to minimize the global dependency and enhance scope of activity at DC
- Networking with institutes, hospitals, research universities, etc. to understand requirements in digital environment ecosystem from a patient care perspective
- Understand product portfolio gaps in close collaboration with business lines – help to identify start-ups. Biomedical small companies, etc. for an appropriate solution and required support to DC product development team
- Provide back-end solutions like customer complaints, to Global SHS in close coordination with relevant stake holders
- Training and awareness to product development teams to facilitate understanding of the product intended use
