Your Role and Responsibilities
Our Watson AIOps Support team is looking for you to join us as a Support Engineer in the Bangalore, India office.
This position provides the opportunity to work in a high growth area in the Hybrid Cloud Management and Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations organization. The successful candidate will work with our world class Watson AIOps solution, providing remote debugging and resolution to our clients world-wide, with focus on the regions Europe, Middle East and Africa. The role provides technical support assistance directly (phone/ live chat / cognitive support platform) to clients using problem determination and technical analytical skills. We use technical and negotiations skills in collaboration with other support organizations to prioritize and work problems to resolution.
You will develop, document, and communicate action plans to clients and IBM teams as appropriate.
Look for avenues to recommend/or implement new solutions or improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, or processes.
Collaborate with other support and development teams to find a solution.
Communicate with the client regularly and keep them updated of the status and progress.
Participate in department objectives such as building the knowledge base (writing technical tips and social media contributions),improving serviceability, mentoring team members, and contributing to high customer satisfaction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of software support experience with experience on Cloud native technologies.
• Product Knowledge of Netcool NOI Suite, including but not limited to OMNIbus, ITNM/ITNCM, Webgui, Impact,
• Strong ability to troubleshoot issues in these environments.
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong knowledge of some of the following technologies: ElasticSearch, Cassandra, DB2, Oracle and SQL Server
• Strong understanding of Cloud technologies, OpenShift / Kubernetes, Ideally OCP and Operators
• Understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, Machine learning skills
• Great to have Japanese or Chinese language skills

The Hybrid Cloud/Cloud Integration team delivers Products/ Support that integrate the Red Hat Open Shift Kubernetes platform with IBM Cloud Paks and Cartridges/Solutions as well as on-prem. Hybrid Cloud Integration is key to the IBM Cloud Pak 2.0 strategy in that the services allow IBM solutions to leverage a common set of capabilities and can be seamlessly deployed across multiple environments; viz, Public, Private, Hybrid Clouds and also on-prem for a common user experience. IBM Cloud Integration suite provides the tools enterprises need for connecting cloud and on-premise applications, building microservices and exposing and managing APIs. It enables to reach new markets, rapidly take advantage of new business opportunities, and improve communications within your partner ecosystem.
