The position will be a member of Varian Worldwide Enterprise Application Solutions team; will be located in Pune, India and the primary function of the position is supporting the Sales organization of Varian Medical System.
The ideal candidate will be a strong BigMachines and Salesforce developer with understanding of the Big Machines / Salesforce development platform.
This person will play a pivotal role in supporting Varian’s Sales organization by providing CPQ (Configure, Pricing and Quoting) solutions using Big Machines, Salesforce expertise and guidance.

The Primary Responsibilities Include

• Supporting Varian’s quotation system Big Machines
• Serving as the technical point of contact for maintaining and enhancing the system based on business needs;
• Working closely with VIT System Analysts and business super users to capture, document, and verify the requirements of the project stakeholders and end users;
• Designing, configuring, managing, and implementing the requirements on the Big Machines Platform;
• Serving as an escalation point for the production support team;
• Working with the vendor (Big Machines) directly for any product related defects.
  

An understanding of contemporary requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and management practices.
Experience working with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization.
Design, configure, manage, and execute on Big Machine assignments.
Configure platform to meet requirements including installation and configuration of app exchange applications
Pro-actively identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in existing Big Machines and Salesforce.com setup
Support the design, implementation, and rollout of Big Machine Application to the Varian Medical Systems.
Qualifications Required: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.
Experience (Years): 6-8 yrs
Technologies required: BMI, Salesforce, BML
Skills
Analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate high-level concepts into details, distinguish true needs from among the collection of requirements, and create logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.
4+ years of hands-on development experience with BML – Modeling Coding and Configuration.
Strong technical knowledge in the area of BML, HTML/XML and Salesforce APEX/Visualforce.
Should be able to manage full application development cycle including, debugging, code review, unit testing, basic troubleshooting especially with Agile development experience.
Experience with Integrated development environment, i.e. Eclipse, RAD; Source Control Tools (Subversion or other).
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, JSP/ASP, SQL (PL SQL, ANSI SQL) is plus
Experience troubleshooting production CPQ issues and experience managing vendor relationships.
Provide direction and guidance to the off-shore development team when it is required, and ensure that the team delivers high-quality work.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
Big Machines Blue Belt or Black belt Developer Certification
Major Plus: Medical Device/Life Science Industry Experience
Major Plus: Project Management Skill, Agile Development Methodology
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms
