About Rufarm

Robic Rufarm India is an agri-tech startup focused on solving problems related to farmers in an innovative way through technology. We provide technological solutions to farmers facing problems in shrimp farming using IoT and cloud management through pond automation. Also, our R&D team had designed an automated fertilizer spraying technology model using drones which is the most emerging technology in agriculture. We are being mentored by NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, and the National Academy of Agriculture and Research Institute (NAARM),Hyderabad.

About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Manage social media and marketing daily and work on content generation, content designing, and campaigning
2. Plan strategies to implement an automation in agriculture field. So both on field and off field works and locations depending on the situation.
3. Run social media campaigns every day.
4. Work on website/social media SEO once weekly
5. Work on CRM and call outreach

Indiaâs ongoing lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus is threatening the agriculture sector as it overlaps with the time of harvest. The lockdown has derailed harvest preparation and lack of agricultural labor to help in harvest and restrictions on transportation of produce despite being given waivers as essential services. Farmer leaders and agriculture experts criticized the relief package announced by the government to aid farmers impacted by the coronavirus. They also expressed fear that once the lockdown is lifted the crash in prices would severely impact the income of millions of farmers.
So, we strongly want to work on agriculture automation. On implementation, it should help farmers in guiding them with present scenarios of his crop, crop-market, and trade. Ultimately we are in search of developing such a technology and want its intervention in farm activity that can increase farmers' profit margin before selling the crop in the market.
