Job Description

Ref. No. C-DIT/HR-01/2021

Government have notified the qualifications for appointment to the post of the Director

Qualification: A) a) Post Graduate Degree in Science or Degree in Engineering having a minimum 60% marks

b) 25 Years of total experience of which at least five years have to be in senior/top management position in R&D or S&T institutions, Universities/ PSUs etc. with proven track record in institution building and leading a team of professionals.

c) Persons who are serving or retired as Director /CEO/Registrar/Head of Department in R&D .or S&T instituions/PSUs/University with experience in Science Popularisation, Mass Communication and educational activities will be preferred. OR

B) i) Retired All India Service Officers who have worked in Electronics/IT/Science and Technology or Communication Sectors for a minimum period of 4-5 years will also be considered irrespective of basic degree level qualification.

ii) The period of appointment shall be initially for 2 years or till 65 years of age, whichever is earlier. Extension of term for a further period of I year will be considered by Government, subject to the review of the performance appraisal of the incumbent.
