Role Description (Role & Responsibilities) :

1. Education University degree in master or bachelor in electronic engineering or equivalent To perform the work as HW design engineer

2. Secure that the design meets the agreed requirements both technical and quality Anchor the production feasibility of the product with production and purchase organisation

3. Work according to agreed processes and tools and support continuous improvement of them

4. Escalate deviations to Electronics COE Manager and project responsible

5. Ensure that a safe development processes are applied and that the end product is safe Initiate innovation through the proposal of K

6. Brief Report working hours spent on different projects Drive hardware requirements from customer requirements and system design specification

7. Design hardware in accordance with the hardware requirements and system design specification

8. Verify hardware design using theoretical calculations analysis simulations and test Create documents for manufacturing of PCB s and PCBA s

9. Analyse test data from HW test engineer to ensure that the design fulfils all requirements

10. Create HW SW interface specifications in collaboration with SW designer Participate in benchmarking activities

11. Experience and skills Experience within design work preferably within technology areas with similarities to the actual position

12. Analog and digital circuit design o Microcontroller selection and building external circuitry for its peripherals o

13. Use of ADC DAC and its interface with microcontrollers o Experience in switch mode power supply LDO design o

14. Simulation of electronic circuit and component using simulation tools PSPICE LTSPICE

15. Good knowledge in PCB and Circuit board schematic and layout design using eCAD toolchain like Altium Cadence Allegro etc

16. Awareness of DFM design for manufacturing and DFT design for testing guidelines

17. Experience in providing input to PCB engineer for placement and routing and review of finished PCB layouts

18. Experience in working with Mechanical CAD engineer for defining right enclosure for electronics Experience in BOM cost optimization

19. Good knowledge in analysis methods as D FMEA and FMEDA o Exposure to reliability calculation MTBF fault tolerant design worst case circuit analysis

20. Good knowledge in Functional Safety Good knowledge in design for EMC

21. Experience in using electronic measuring equipment like oscilloscope function generator etc

22. Experience in pre compliance and compliance testing Good knowledge in vehicle communication protocols CAN LIN

23. Good knowledge in Requirements engineering and associated tools General knowledge of development processes methods and tools

24. Personal qualities appropriate for working in a design team analytical structured good communicative skills and able to take initiatives

25. Exposure to component obsolescence management Exposure of using any PLM tool

26. Fluent knowledge in English spoken and written Within given mandates using agreed processes methods and tools

27. Design products by creating appropriate design documents
