Job Description: The Hardware Engineer will work as part of a team to develop tools for automated HW power analysis used for HW/FW/SW optimization in smart phone devices. These tools cross multiple environments from host PC applications running the data acquisition equipment interfaces that are connected to smart phone development platforms. Responsibilities will include support of the development of, as well as the operation of these tools. Iterative data collection and correlation of the data with platform expectations as well as generation of test reports is expected. Documentation, training and support of tools developed are also expected responsibilities. Since these tools will also be used by teams at other sites, the ability to work with those teams to remotely debug setup, operational and measurement issues will also be expected.QualificationsCandidates should possess a Bachelors Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering and have a minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience. Candidates must have experience with - VR, SMPS & IDO design or - Validation. Experience with power delivery in battery operated systems is also desired. Also required is a working knowledge of the operation of Iab equipment such as scopes, analyzers, and DAQs, as well as familiarity with the uses and IImitations of measurements made with these devices. A working knowledge of scripting Ianguages such as Python or Perl, or the Android or MeeGo OS would be a plus. HS diploma or GED equivalent required for US candidates.
