Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collecting metallurgical samples, ensuring proper labeling, and preparing them for analysis
2. Conducting various metallurgical experiments in the laboratory, such as hardness tests, tensile tests, metallography, and spectroscopy
3. Recording data from experiments, and assisting in the analysis of results
4. Using techniques like SEM, XRD, and TEM to characterize materials
5. Preparing reports and presentations summarizing findings, data, and recommendations for metallurgical projects or studies
6. Providing support to metallurgical engineers and researchers on ongoing projects, including literature research and data collection
Requirements:
1. Understand the properties, behavior, and characteristics of different aerospace materials
2. Proficiently use laboratory equipment and conduct various metallurgical tests and experiments
3. Be familiar with software tools like XpertHighscore, Origin, Fullprof, and ImageJ; knowledge of software like MATLAB, Python, or specialized metallurgical software can be beneficial
4. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and collaborate with team members
