PLC Programmer
Responsibilities
Meeting and knowing the client's requirements for electrical and mechanical needs.
Reading and interpreting the logical flow diagram.
Explaining to the clients how electrical components operate.
Using automation software to write PLC programs.
Preparing documents to instruct the users how to use the device and other safety instructions.
Testing the program using automation equipment for its reliability.
Troubleshooting any faults in the system.
Supervising the installation of PLC programs.
Providing guidance and support to the Technicians.
Offering training to the Technicians and other team members.
Maintaining the PLC programs.
Working in coordination with the Engineering and Production team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related degree.
Working experience as a PLC Programmer, or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software principles.
Extensive knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, sequential function charts, etc.
Exceptional logic reasoning abilities.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Excellent ability to work under no supervision.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel as and when required.
Ability to solve complex problems.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Excellent mathematics and arithmetic skills.
A keen eye for details for accuracy.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
